This course will provide a higher level of training in the areas of design, components, and installation methods for photovoltaic systems used in renewable energy applications. Site surveys, Pre-planning, Array Configuration, Components, Assembly, and Installing modules for residential, commercial, and large solar installations will be covered. The manufacturers’ instruction guidelines will be used to construct various rooftop, ground mount, and solar tracking arrays. Successful completion of this course qualifies the member to sit for the NABCEP PV Installer Specialist Certification exam.
Tools and/or supplies needed: Clear safety glasses/goggles, hard hat, work boots, hammer, tool belt, 25' tape measure, utility knife, 3/8" drive ratchet, 8" or 10" crescent wrench, aviation snips, and a chalkbox.
