Course Description

In this 28 hour course, participants will follow a print to layout, join and assemble a timber frame structure using many of the joints discussed and practiced in the prerequisite course, “Introduction to Timber Framing”.

Special Instructions

Tools / Supplies Required: UBC Heavy Timber Framing book received in “Introduction to Timber Framing”, hard hat, clear safety glasses, work boots, tool belt w/ tape measure, chalk line (no red or black chalk), sharp utility knife, pencils, pen, notebook, highlighter, lumber crayon, sliding T-bevel, combination square, framing square, sharp hand saw, sharp block plane

Course Length: 2 Weeks (32 hours)

Pre-requisites: Successful completion of Wood Framing - Introduction to Timber Framing class.
Upon Completion: Your UBC Training Verification wallet card will be updated indicating successful course completion.
